After the fires earlier this year that caused a last-minute relocation of the trial at Constantia, we are happy to report that the fire has cleaned up the undergrowth nicely and the John Fulcher Memorial trial will be at its usual venue.
The event will take place at Constantia on Sunday 25th October, starting at 10h00. If you don't know where it is please ask Brian or Charles to provide directions (email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org).
The event is meant for classic bikes, so the sections are much easier than in a regular trial, but modern trials bikes can also enter. It is also a good opportunity for first time riders.
There will be only two classes, Experts and Clubmen, with floating trophies being awarded to the first classic bike in each class. Classic bikes are essentially twin shock trials machines, with air cooled engines and drum brakes.
There will be a bring and braai after the event.
The Oset/electric trial for youngsters (thanks to Dion), starts at 09:30.
The venue is superb for spectators and children. The sections are a short walk into the forest, so spectators should wear walking shoes or boots.
