Constantia

As a newbie following on the sideline a friend and i took a ride out to see you guys in action in Constantia on our XT 600's last sunday. Due to life constraints we could only spend a hour there but enjoyed the wellcoming friendlyness of many guys we spoke to. We were really impressed with mint condition older bikes still doing what they were made to do 30 years ago. Cellphone pictures not the best. Really hope to join you on a future ride when correct machinery is available

Thanks for posting these pictures.  I am working on the trial report - first step for me is deleting some of the 1000 or so pictures I took.  Then I resize them to 1200 x 800, 80%.

I use only Free and Open Source Software (Ubuntu, The Gimp, ImageMagick etc), and can scale and convert a directory with 100s of images in minutes with one command.

On Windows or Apple, you might try Picasa to do this for you.  Some people send themselves an email in Outlook with the attached images, and apparently it gives you the option to resize images for the web.

You will notice that uploading large images takes a lot of time, but worse still, if someone clicks on it to view in a lightbox, it takes a long time to display.  This website does produce scaled-down smaller images for the main display in the posts, but it displays the originals in the lightbox.

Hi Sean, thanks for the positive comments. The event is very special to me and I am also very keen on promoting twin shock/ classic trials. So if you are interested in this form of the sport I would like to encourage your involvement and hopefully one day you will join us on your own bike.
